How To Achieve Your Goals This Year

The new year just started and there is nothing like being able to set new goals. However, a majority of people will hit the end of February and realize that their drive for success has died and the rest of the year seems to simmer down.

Though this is normal for most people, this is something that is NOT seen with successful people. In order to truly learn how to achieve your goals this year, you will need to do two things to ensure that things get done.

Make A Video and Post It

Write down your goals and grab your camera. There is nothing like making promises to other people and having the fear of letting them down.

Whether it is losing weight or trying to get that degree, if you let others know about your goal, you will be less likely to get up and quit.

All you need to do is make a short video telling people about what your goals are and how you will be achieving them.

The point is not to feel obligated to succeed but to simply not quit.

You will never be able to know what your true potential is if you just quit.

Watch The Video Everyday

You will need to watch this short 30 second video that you made and you need to keep reminding yourself that you have a goal that you want to achieve.

Though watching it everyday can be tough, it is a good idea to watch the video when you are starting to feel down about your goals.

This is a way to remind yourself that you do want to succeed and you will do whatever it takes to achieve them.

If you do these two very simple things, you will be able to breakthrough and finally have a full year of success that will lead to a fulfilling life.

4 Great Reasons Why You Should Test and Track Your Ad Campaigns

Why test and track your ad campaigns?

Consider this analogy. In soccer, the best way to know if a striker is worth a starting position in the team is by the number of goals they score.

Similarly, since an ad campaign is an investment, the returns on investment (R.O.I) need to be measured.

For various reasons, businesses do not carry out one type ad campaign. A business could carry out ads through e-mails, internet marketing, Radio, T.V and various other forms of ads.

Depending on the kind of business, different ads work differently. As a business owner, it would be worth to know which ad works best for your business.

This way, you know where to put your resources and where not to.

Tracking an ad campaign helps you know your customers.

While one ad campaign may be effective on teenagers, another could be effective on young adults.

This segmentation allows you to refine your content to better suit your target.

Testing your ad campaign will save you cash.

Rather than run a campaign for a whole month only to find out that it is not effective, it would be effective first test it.

This way, you know which ads work best without spending much money.

When you test and track your ad campaigns, it guides you to know your seasons.

All kinds of businesses, even online ones, have their low and high season.

Therefore, you would know which ads are most effective during which season.

Furthermore, it would enable you take measures to cushion your business in the low season.

Many options are available to test and track ads.

To select only the best ad trackers for your kind of business, it would be best to ask an expert for guidance.

You could simply start with Google's Website Optimizer which is a free and simple testing and tracking tool.

If you choose a software ad tracker, it would be advisable to read all the instructions on how to use it.

3 Mistakes To Avoid In Internet Marketing

When it comes to internet marketing, there are things that you simply need to avoid so that you will not waste your time.

Unfortunately, these are very common mistakes and if you are able to avoid these, you will be able to have an edge on your competition.

If you are serious about being a successful internet marketer, then you need to focus on these mistakes and to remember to avoid them.

Not having a niche

Making your presence known online is all about having a niche. If you fail to choose a good niche, you will never be able to really succeed.

This is because the internet already has a lot of competition and so you need to find a niche where you can excel and actually get traffic to your site.

Rushing the process

Too many people simply try to get overnight success and this is not going to happen. If you are serious about being able to succeed in any aspect of life, rushing things will only make things worse.

You need to take it slow and focus on long term success. Once you realize that patience really is a virtue, you will see that your online journey will only get better.

No originality

The internet has a lot of content and so you can't be a copy of other things. You will need to be original and have your own style on the internet.

Once you are able to do this, there is no stopping you from succeeding.

If you are able to avoid these simple things, you will be able to really make your presence known on the internet.

Most people will admit that these are the simplest mistakes to create and if you avoid these from the very beginning, you will be able to really prosper online.

How To Start an Internet Business, Without Going Crazy!!!

Most people try to tackle a HUGE project or idea and they get so overwhelmed that they never even begin. Or, they keep putting things of for one reason or another. Are you one of these people? Don't let these MINOR dilemmas stop you from realizing your true potential!

I have a confession to make.

Starting something new sucks.
Yup.  Plain and simple I'm impatient and when I see something I want, I don't want to have to go through the growing pains of getting it to where I want.

Can you relate to that?

For example, many of you know that I'm relatively new as an information marketer.  I started my career almost a year and a half ago and some people would say that I've enjoyed a fair amount of success in such a short period.

I would agree and I'm very happy with the progress that I've made.

However, being surrounded with marketing gurus like Alex Mandossian,  Jim Edwards, and Matt Bacak, I see that I have a long way to go.

I know for a fact that these guys make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month on complete autopilot and their income only grows every year.

In addition I've enjoyed watching their students implement the strategies they've learned from these guys and then experience all kinds of success.  Now the key word there is IMPLEMENT!!
It didn't take me long before I learned one of the most valuable lessons of my career.  You should memorize this because it will help you get more done, faster and you'll be up and making money quicker and easier.

Here it is.  Write this down.

You Don't Have To Get It Right,
You Just Have To Get It Going.

Success in life is nothing more than a series of small wins.  However most people try to tackle a HUGE project or idea and they get so overwhelmed that they never even begin.

Think about it...

Bill Gates didn't create Windows XP before he created Windows 2000, or Windows 95 or even Windows 3.1.  But let me ask you a question...

Do you think he would have the market dominance he has if he had waited until he had completed Windows XP?
NO way.

All he did was get going.  I guarantee you many of the ideas he had in the later versions of Windows were initially dreamed of when he first created Windows 3.1 but he didn't wait for it to be absolutely perfect.

He just got going.

So, I sat back and started asking myself questions.  I was looking for answers as to why people like Alex, Armand and John just keep on experiencing tremendous success, project after project, and why I was struggling to get my projects up, completed and making money.
Through this reflection I saw something that was holding me back.  Perhaps you've experienced this yourself.
Here is the problem:

I was trying to tackle the whole project all at once instead of breaking it down into bite size pieces.  This resulted in me getting irritated, overwhelmed and disheartened.

Then within the exact same week my mentor, showed me something that really hit home.

I had proudly opened my laptop and started my mind mapping software where I had brainstormed all kinds of new product and business ideas.

With passion and excitement I enthusiastically began to tell him what I was planning on doing.  Then he did something I will never forget.

He grabbed my computer mouse and closed my mind mapping program.

I was dumbfounded.  Was he kidding or was this some kind of lesson?

Here is what he said:

"Stop Generating New Ideas And
Start Implementing The Ones You Have!!"

Talk about a wake up call!!
Generating ideas was my form of procrastination.  That was a "light bulb moment".  I wasn't getting any of my ideas completed because every time I came across an obstacle I would stop what I was doing and start brainstorming on something completely different and unrelated.

Can you relate to that?

So let me ask you a question...

What form of procrastination is preventing you from getting your projects completed?

Armand explained his point by making another demonstration.  He opened his computer and logged on to the internet and took me to several of his websites where he has products available for sale.  Then he said "I want to buy what you have for sale.  Take me to your website".

Guess what?

I didn't have one.

I only had two explanations why - I didn't have any completed projects for sale and/or I didn't have a sales page up for my completed projects.

Duhhh!!

You Can't Make Money Until You Launch Your Projects

it hit me square between the eyes by showing me what I was doing to sabotage my success.  His outside perspective seems so obvious in hindsight but I can honestly say that without it I wouldn't have made the $111,000+ I did on my most recent project.

Completed projects can do wonders for you and your business because they BUILD MOMENTUM.

You can't build a BIG snowman until you create a snowball and get it rolling.  The same principle applies to your information marketing business.  You can't make $1,000,000 until you make $100,000.  Similarly you can't make $100,000 until you make $10,000 and you can't make $10,000 until you make $1,000.

So often we are trying to go for the million right out of the gates and we get disappointed and frustrated when it doesn't happen.

So the moral of this story …

Just get your projects completed and available for someone to buy!!

How To Write Better Copy

Writing web copy for your website is an important part to make sure that you educate your readers to the extent that they can possibly buy something from you or join your list.

Writing better copy than you normally can could help tremendously when you're trying to get sales and develop yourself as an expert.

If you need some instant help, here's 5 tips to writing better copy.

Proofread

Proofreading your work can help a lot with your success at writing good copy. Most people tend write good articles with the best content, but they don't really know how to write grammar free.

Proofread outloud

Proofreading outloud is often thought of as weird and useless. You can actually capture up to 70% more of your mistakes when you proofread your articles outloud.

Explain how it can help them

People just want to find something that will help them, and when you're writing web copy, you need to make sure that you tell them how this service or product is going to *help* them.

When you explain everything in a concise and powerful manner, they will respond better to what you're trying to offer.

Format (but not always)

Formatting is a great way to get your copy done quickly and almost instantly. The only problem that you may experience is that not formatting your articles may give you better ideas than you thought.

So, make sure to format your web copy, but don't format everything all the time so you can let your natural words flow through.

Read sales pages

When you read other convincing sales pages of other products, try looking at the way the copy was written. Pay attention to the detail as to how they deliver what the product is offering.

These 5 tips to writing better copy are extremely effective. Each one can be done and followed, and following them in your writing can make you a better writer than you thought.

How to Write an Marketing Article That Has POWER!

It seems paradoxical – the more you give away, the more people are willing to pay for your services – but it’s true. This exact approach has worked quickly and effectively for me lately. The key is that it’s got to be good and of high relevance to your target audience. This builds people’s confidence that you consistently know your stuff and that you can be counted on for long-term value. People soon realize that if you’re willing to give away such valuable expertise, think how great the solutions they pay for will be!

So how do you share your expertise with your target audience? Through writing and speaking. And it starts with being able to get your core ideas down on paper in a way that catches your audience’s attention and compels them to action.

If the idea of writing an article or giving a speech feels overwhelming, stay with me. I’m going to show you how easy it can be if you follow a basic formula that works every time.

Formula for Success

We’ve all stared at a blank page, at a loss for words or ideas…and wondered how in the world to write the article, proposal, report or presentation that’s due soon…with the deadline looming and no inspiration in sight. It’s the worst feeling and brings out the procrastinator in all of us.

Next time you’d rather clean out your desk than force yourself to sit down and write something, try this easy approach:

1. Brainstorm a short list of things that your clients struggle with
. What problems drive them to you? Why are they willing to pay good money for your services. Remember, it’s not about you -- it’s about them, their pain, and their needs. This is now your list of topics for articles and talks.

2. Pick one topic and answer the following questions:

• What’s the problem?

• What’s the lost opportunity?

• Why is this important to address?

• What will happen if it’s ignored?

• What’s your solution?

• What tips do you have for implementing your solution?

• What example can you use to illustrate your point?

3. Write your answers to these questions and don’t worry about how it flows or even that you’re using good grammar. Just get your ideas on paper (or into the computer). Notice that by now, you have at least a page written. Pat yourself on the back and keep going.

4. Go back and clean up what you’ve written
, add a catchy title and some headlines to break up the text, keep your paragraphs short, add some bullets or numbers to guide the eye. Maybe add references or a diagram. Step back and review what you’ve done. By now, you’ve got an article!

5. Ask a couple of trusted colleagues
, clients or friends for feedback on your draft – really do this because it helps! Plus, it’s a great confidence booster and low-risk way to share your writing with a small audience first.

6. Put your new article on your website
, offer to send it as follow up when networking, send it to current clients, use it as the basis for getting booked for talks (more on how to in a future newsletter)…whatever you do, don’t let it languish. USE it as a way of sharing your expertise.

For more tips on how to share your expertise through writing, keep reading...

Taking a page from Twyla Tharp’s new book, The Creative Habit, this prolific dancer and choreographer shares her tips for moving from procrastination to creativity, regularly and with ease. Apply these ideas to your writing and notice the difference…

1. Set up a creative environment that’s habit forming
. Creativity doesn’t just happen, it’s a disciplined skill that can be learned. Creativity is not a mystical, elusive gift that’s only accessible to artists. Everyone can develop it. Set up the right conditions and it eventually kicks-in. For me, it’s the act of daily planning that clears my mind to make room for ideas to flow. For you, it might be puttering in your garden or going for a walk. Whatever it is, do it daily and be disciplined about it.

2. Use an organizational system for your ideas
. Over the course of a month, I run into articles, quotes, websites, books, photos, experiences, and conversations…all of which inspire me for an upcoming article or talk. I capture them in folders, labeled by theme or big idea. When I’m ready to start writing, I draw on this collection of resources to inspire and guide my thinking. Twyla Tharp uses a box for each new project. You might find a binder the best catchall. Whatever works for you, the mere act of labeling and filling your container demonstrates your commitment to the idea.

3. Scratch. Scratching is about seeking inspiration to fill your container
. I scratch when I flip through copies of Fast Company and Inc. Magazine or browsing in my favorite bookstore (where I found Tharp’s book!). I scratch while networking with other professionals and ask what they’re working on or stuck on in their business. This is about where you get your ideas…it’s kind of primal, and you never know what will inspire you.

4. Beware of these deadly mistakes, relying too much on others
, waiting for or expecting perfection, over thinking, feeling obligated to finish what you’ve started, and working with the wrong materials. Any one of them will undermine your best efforts. If you’re stuck, look at each of these to see if they’re holding you back.

5.  It’s your one strong idea, the toehold that gets you started
. The heart of this article, for example, is that writing is a core competency of effective marketing. Related to it is the inspiration I found in Twyla’s book.

6. Master your skill. You have to master the underlying skills of your creative domain, then build your creativity on the solid foundation of those skills. You can’t write or speak effectively about your chosen profession, if you haven’t mastered what you bring to the table to begin with.

7. Know the difference between a rut and a block
. Writer’s block is when you’ve shut down and your tank is empty. In that case, you just need to do something – anything – to change the patterns in your brain (walk away, sing, get outdoors, do some yoga, cuddle with your pet…you get the idea). A rut is more like a false start. This happens when you’re using a bad idea, it’s bad timing, or you’re sticking with old methods that don’t work. Get out of a rut by questioning everything except your ability to get out of it.

8. Fail often privately
. This includes drafts that get thrown away, early versions that you share with trusted colleagues, testing your message while networking (“what’s your impression of…?”). Then figure out why you’re failing (is it the idea? your timing? a matter of skill? judgement? nerve?) and address it before going public.

9. Believe in the long haul. Sharing your expertise through writing won’t be easy over night. It’ll take discipline to create a habit that eventually builds the skill. Believe me, it’s well worth it..

How To Overcome Information Overload

Information overload is extremely hard to deal with. Most marketers who get started with internet marketing are usually very ecstatic to take on all of the information and resources in, but when they realize that there are so much that gets involved with building an online business, they give up and they find it hard to overcome all of the information that they get.

Information overload is about learning and researching, only to find yourself covered by so much information.

Overcoming information overload isn't all too difficult, but it can take some time before you truly beat the confusion and the difficulties.

The best way to overcome all of that information is by taking everything one by one. Don't confuse yourself by learning everything all at one time.

You should also ignore following different methods and following only one.

In other words, if you realize that you need to build a site, build a site first without moving on to the next thing.

Most people will usually build a site and build backlinks all at the same time.

Others will even develop one site selling an affiliate product while they learn about another different way to make affiliate sales.

So, it's only normal for these marketers to feel confused and smushed by all the pressure and misunderstood information.

Take your time, and you'll find that affiliate marketing isn't tough to make money from.

To get started on the right path, don't keep learning from different sources. Basically, if you find a great mentor, continue to work with that same mentor. They know where you started, and they know how you should continue.

If you bought an ebook or joined an online training membership, follow everything one by one. This will help you to do everything without putting so much pressure on yourself.

SEO Basics That You Need To Understand

Understanding SEO basics is vital to ensure that you know how the search engines like Google and Yahoo Search work.

When you know how they work, you'll be able to get your websites, web 2.0 webpages, and all sorts of articles online ranking high on Google.

One of the first things you need to know is that Google ranks websites based on what they scan through whenever they visit a site.

So, if they see a website that has the word "get rid of pimples today" all over the site, Google will basically try to put that website on the search engines for that specific keyword.

This is to ensure that those who want help or information in this area will see your article, as Google only wants to help people find what they really need.

Of course, even if your site says all of the keywords over and over again, if there aren't any backlinks generated for the site, you won't see the site climbing up the rankings. This is called off-page optimization.

You need to make sure that you have other websites linking back to your site. Google only wants to rank high quality, authority level websites that are popular online.

How do you get your site to be popular and authority level in Google's eye? By having other sites linking back to yours.

This can be done by leaving your URL on other blog networks, leaving your URL on Yahoo Answers, writing articles online and putting your URL at the bottom, along with many other kinds of ways.

In addition, you need to make sure your page is optimized for search engines. This is called on-page optimization. Your web page title, description, and keywords should include your main keywords/key phrases you're targeting.

Now that you know how it works, start broadening your understanding on the topic of SEO. Continue to learn how to use SEO tactics into your marketing, and don't be afraid to make mistakes if ever your site doesn't rank high right away.

Easy Ways To Get More Website Visitors

The main goal for most internet marketers would be to try and get as many visitors as they possibly can. This can be very easy for some while it can be an impossible task for others.

The problem really lies in your strategy and the things that you post about. Is it worth reading? Is it something that people will click on if they read it on Facebook? Will they be happy that they read that article?

Create Good Content

If you want more visitors, you will need to focus on being to bring them back.

There is nothing worse then having a thousand visitors and then never having them come back.

Creating good content will make sure that your visitors will come back for more. This is a better thing to focus on as long term success should be the goal.

Network

When you are able to network with other people on the internet, you will realize just how easy it is to actually get visitors.

When you have a circle of friends on the internet, they will often help to promote your posts and thus creating more traffic towards your site.

Share

You will need to share your website to as many people as possible. Whether it is Facebook, Twitter, Myspace or any social network out there, you will simply need to have people see your website.

Though not everyone will click on the site, it is a good way to at least get a few hits. The more you share, the better chance of having someone stumble upon your website.

If you are serious about being able to get more website visitors, you will surely need to take these things into consideration and to understand that it is not that tough to get visitors going to your website on a daily basis.

How To Build Credibility In Your Market

No matter what niche or market that you may be in, building credibility is extremely important for your business.

People want to buy from somebody who knows what he or she is talking about.

Let's face it, would you ever get plastic surgery from a person who doesn't have a real degree? This is a very useless question to ask, but it's very similar to the way your business works online.

Whether you want to sell Amazon products or ebooks in the dating niche, you need to make sure that you classify yourself as an authority on the subject.

How to build credibility in your market

Share, Share, Share

Yes, whether it's via a blog post or Facebook update. People want to know you're a real person and that you're genuine. Share your knowledge as much as possible and you'll instantly build your credibility.

Offer email support

If you have a website that details almost everything on a certain niche, then you need to try offering email support of some kind.

There are many people who only offer regular advice on their sites like articles, and by offering free email support, you can show your visitors that you know everything about your sites topic.

Offer Webinars

Webinars are basically online streaming events where you can connect with around 1,000 people who will be watching you on your webcam live.

You can talk about your niche, how to succeed in that niche, and everything that you know that your customers will like to know.

This will help show your visitors that you're an expert, helping you to build your credibility tremendously. I highly suggest that you do these webinars, as they are very easy to do, and can provide for you a good amount of credibility on the topic.

Two Ways To Increase Your Sales Overnight

If you are planning to build up your own business, you have to be  ready for the challenges that you have to face.

Knowing that the business industries nowadays are growing larger, competition between different businesses are getting tougher.

The virtual world is not an exception to this. So if you have an online business, you have to come up with ways that you can generate more sales than your competitors.

Once you're successful enough to establish your own business online, you should move on to coming up with ways on how to increase your sales overnight.

Offer After A Purchase

Do you know that offering your customers more after a purchase can be a good way to double your sales overnight? And why is that so?

Think about it. When your customer just got done with a purchase, he or she is still in the mood of shopping which is a good time for you to offer more products and services related to what has just been availed of.

That said, don't just leave your customers to a closing thank you page after their initial purchase, but rather a page that contains some of the best deals that they can take advantage of.

Offer Discounted Items

Once you have your product lines updated, chances are you will just leave your old products behind and focus more on what's new. Well, that's a wrong move.

Your old product line can actually be your biggest income makers while you're still on the process of featuring your new ones.

As a tip, have a category tagged as "discounted offers" on your web page which basically contains older versions of what you're offering your audience.

As you may know, there will always be people who will seek for economic materials regardless of oldness as long as quality and functionality standards are still met.

That is true and to make that strategy even better, pressure your customers by having those discounted items on a limited period. You will surely have a booming sales increase overnight.

Simple Tips To Live A More Abundant Life

People will think that being able to live an abundant life is something that only the "special" people can have.

However, anyone can live abundantly, just as long as you know what you are doing in life. Though life may not be at an ultimate high, this does not mean that you cannot be happy.

In order to live abundantly, you will need to start focusing more on yourself and enjoying your happiness.

Create small goals

When you make small goals in life, you will realize that they will work together to still achieve one big goal. This makes life seem easier and you are able to enjoy each day more.

Sometimes a really big goal can seem too overwhelming and so it is a better idea to simply just focus on making small goals on a daily basis.

Have Time For Friends

Sometimes working too hard may not be the answer to living abundantly. You will need to take a break and realize that there are other things in important in life besides work and money.

When you ensure that your relationships with the people you love are perfect, you will be able to focus more on your work.

This is something that a lot of workaholics forget and it leads to more problems in other areas of life.

Relax and Exercise

When you are feeling too stressed, sometimes all you need to do is let it out with some sort of activity.

Whether it is exercise or simply just going to sleep, doing things to help relax yourself will allow you to get back to work.

Living abundantly certainly does not mean that you will need to have all the money in the world but to simply make sure that you are happy, no matter what is going on in your life.
